Anti-Inflammatory Smoothie

Simple and so beneficial! This smoothie is not a sweet smoothie, its more like a tangy juice. The vegetables can blend down really well, almost to a juice consistency, rather than a thick smoothie so you get the extra benefit of increasing your fluid intake.

Inflammation is the cause for most diseases. Silent inflammation can occur in the body without us even realizing it. By reducing our inflammation, we can significantly reduce the chance of disease, improve mobility and heart health.

This recipe is low in sugar (sugar is a major cause of inflammation). Celery and Cucumbers are very low in sugar. Ginger, pineapple, and limes contain anti-inflammatory properties. Spinach is loaded with vitamins and minerals from potassium, magnesium, vitamin C, vitamin K, folic acid, iron and calcium!

Anti-Inflammatory Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1 celery stalk

  • 1/3 cucumber

  • 1/3 cup spinach or kale (baby or frozen)

  • 1 cup frozen pineapple

  • Knob of ginger

  • 1 lime

  • Filtered water (As much needed for preferred consistency)

Blend well and enjoy!
